"I have offended God and mankind because my work did not reach the quality it should have.” - Leonardo da Vinci
Leonardo da Vinci Was a Procrastinator. He is unquestionably one of the greatest artists in history. Ironically, one quirk that made him such a genius was that he was easily distracted. Despite being the epitome of a “Renaissance man,” Leonardo had a penchant for leaving his works unfinished. Evidence for this is seen in the hundreds of notes and sketches he left behind for projects following his death in 1519.
The globally famous “Mona Lisa” portrait by Leonardo da Vinci was meant to be spelt ‘Monna’, the Italian word for “my lady”.
In 1962 Leonardo DaVinci's Mona Lisa was valued at $100 million dollars. It is now valued at between $750 and $800 million. It was…and remains…the most valuable painting in the world.
“Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt, and poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen.” - Leonardo da Vinci
