Jill’s NEW 2018 Winter Classes! Mark Your Calendars…
This Winter I’ll be offering new painting and art history classes in Ossining, NY!
“What Am I Lookin’ At” is a series of six (6) classes on Modern Art. Modern Art (with a capital M and a capital A) refers specifically to the art created by members of the avant-garde during the period from 1900-1945. In this series of programs, we'll explore the seeds of Modern Art and each of the major movements. Gain a better understanding of what inspired them, how to “read” them, and where they led. Our SIX (6) classes will focus on: The Seeds of Modernism, Fauvism, Cubism, Expressionism, Dada, and Surrealism.
You can register on a class-by-class basis ($30 each) OR register for the whole series ($150).
Classes will be held on Tuesday evenings from 7:00-9:00 PM, at the OAC Steamer Firehouse, 117 Main St., 2nd Floor, Ossining, NY. We’ll meet weekly from January 23rd through February 27th, 2018
REGISTER FOR THE WHOLE SERIES OR ON A CLASS-BY-CLASS BASIS. E-mail JILL to ask questions AND to reserve your space!
I’ll also be offering two painting classes at the Cedar Lane Arts Center (CLAC). “Dare to Try” is a fun oil painting class for Beginners and Newcomers to oils. That class will meet weekly for eight (8) weeks on Sunday mornings—from 10:00AM - 12:30 PM. Classes will run from January 28th through March 18th, 2018.
“Painting with Alternative Media” is a totally liberating series of workshops focused on working largely with non-art materials. We’ll be using all kinds of cool materials and supplies. Beginners and more advanced painters are welcome. This class will meet for eight (8) weeks, on Thursday evenings from 6:30-9:00 PM. It will run from January 25th through March 15th, 2018.
Each eight-week session is $240 plus a small supply fee payable to the Instructor.
Registration for CLAC opens on December 19th. You can REGISTER ONLINE HERE or you can Register in-person.
