  • Exit Through the Gift Shop
    Exit Through the Gift Shop
When British stencil artist Banksy traveled to Los Angeles to work, he came across obscure French filmmaker Thierry Guetta and his badly organized collection of videotapes involving the activities of graffiti artists. Inspired, Banksy assembled them with new footage to create this talked-about documentary, and the result is a mind-boggling and odd film (so strange as to be thought a hoax by some) about outsider artists and the definition of art itself.
  • The Impressionists

WAA Director Jill Kiefer will be offering the following program at the

Katonah Art Center

131 Bedford Rd. Katonah, NY 10536

(914) 232-4843 - Register Today!

In this program, we’ll examine the special contributions made by a handful of artists who became movers and shakers in the art world. The history of art has always been filled with brilliant technicians and artistic visionaries. But what sets a small group of them apart from all the rest? How much (if anything) does timing have to do with their greatness? What is it about the lives and cultures of specific artists that contributed to their recognition as among the most revolutionary of all artists (either before or after their deaths)? Artists we look at during this session will include: Giotto, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Rembrandt, and Vermeer - (5 weeks – 2 hours per session)
