A Journey with Giants: A Magical Exploration of Masters from the Ancient, Medieval and Renaissance Worlds

Florence, Italy (click photo for larger image)I’m thrilled to announce that I will be leading a Warnborough Travel Program in Italy in from October 15 through October 29, 2014. Our journey will focus on the Italian Renaissance in the broader contexts of Greco-Roman Antiquity, the Middle Ages, the proto-Renaissance, the International Gothic Style, the Early Renaissance and the High Renaissance. Our exploration will also include a look at the Northern Experience and Early Mannerism as they relate to developments in Italy. Through a series of visual presentations and guided tours, we’ll explore the cultural giants of the 14th through to the early 16th centuries in Italy (and beyond). Participants will see some of the most amazing monuments and works of art ever created. Come and develop an enlightened perspective on this highly significant period in the history of art and learn why it still remains so important today.
