    Exit Through the Gift Shop
When British stencil artist Banksy traveled to Los Angeles to work, he came across obscure French filmmaker Thierry Guetta and his badly organized collection of videotapes involving the activities of graffiti artists. Inspired, Banksy assembled them with new footage to create this talked-about documentary, and the result is a mind-boggling and odd film (so strange as to be thought a hoax by some) about outsider artists and the definition of art itself.

Featured Artist Friday - Barbara Auzenne

Barbara Auzenne“I always loved Art, even as a child. Art and Art History were my interest when I started college. I enjoyed it so much because it was something I could share with my two boys and my husband. As my boys grew older I decided that I wanted a career. I always wanted to be a nurse, so off I went to nursing school and spent the next 30 years enjoying a wonderful career. I retired from a job I loved to care for my brother who was a Vietnam veteran dying from Pancreatic Cancer. While caring for my brother my husband was diagnosed with Cancer.

"After surgery and radiation he is cancer free. After my brothers’ death, I started looking for something creative that would bring me joy. My family started encouraging me to start painting again. A girl friend asked me to do a watercolor class with her and we went for a couple courses. I had painted in oils previously and really wanted to do it again. When we found a class in oils we both began our present journey. Now I can share my art with family, friends and grandchildren.”

Barb,
I always enjoy seeing your artistic talent on canvas. Blue Canyons is a beauty, to gaze at!! The color relationship of blue, green, and yellow are harmonious with a depth of richness that allure one to stop and meditate on. Thank you, for sharing. Tamra
