Featured Artist Friday: Lance Richelin
Lance Richelin is an accomplished artist and educator whose work has been featured in numerous museums and galleries and private collections including Seattle's Frye Museum, the Laguna Museum of Art, The Art Museum of South Texas, The Hive Gallery in Los Angeles and the Pence Gallery San Francisco to name but a few. His work has been featured in magazines such as Blue Canvas, Juxtapoz, and American Artist.
As an instructor of perspective, anatomy, figure drawing and figure painting, Lance taught at the Laguna College of Art and Design from 1998-2007 and has conducted classes at Palos Verdes Art Center, The Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art, The Art Center College of Design, The Otis Institute, Santa Monica College, The Associates in Art, and The California Institute of the Arts.
Lance now instructs online with Drawspace.com and gives classes in his own Atelier.
He's written comedy for VH1, appeared on The Jimmy Kimmel Show, and was the figure and portrait sculptor for Mattel Toys from 1999 to 2001.
Lance has never spent a day in jail.
